Finding The Right Hotel Online
Tenerife is one of Europes top holiday destinations. Its warm year round weather makes it the ideal choice for sun lovers looking to holiday in either the summer months or those wishing to book a winter sun break. Having worked in one of the UK's top travel agents for for holiday bookings in Tenerife we know lots about helping people book their holiday.
From experience, we know that selecting a hotel on the island can be difficult as there are over 400 hotels dotted in resorts, some large and some small for you to pick from. Selecting the right one can be a daunting task so we decided to set up this hub to help people find out more about Tenerife hotels and to give holidaymakers the information they need to select great Tenerife hotels for their holiday online.
What to look for before booking a Tenerife hotel
Tenerife is a great island on which to holiday and no matter where you choose to stay you will have lots to see and do during your vacation. The island's landscape varies greatly depending on which resort you choose and which side of the island you wish to stay in. From stunning beaches covered in black volcanic sand to mountain ranges...you can begin to see how varied Tenerife's terrain is.
Probably your first port of call when looking for a hotel in Tenerife should be to select the type of holiday you are looking for and then research the islands holiday resorts to find one that suits. For example if you are looking for a destination filled with night clubs, dancing, singing and fun then the bustling resort of Playa de las Americas on the West coast may be for you. It has the highest concentration of nightclubs anywhere on the island and has a selection of nearly 80 hotels for holiday makers to chose from ranging from budget options right through to five star luxury.
If you are looking for a middle ground - somewhere that bridges the gap between the hectic holiday you would expect from Playa de Las Americas and a quiet holiday with nothing but relaxing on the radar then you may prefer Puerto de la Cruz in the north of the island. It has plenty to do in the evenings but has amore relaxed atmosphere and less of a buzz about it. This is one of our favorite destinations on the island.
Finally if its quiet you are after, the kind of holiday where noise is a distant memory and you can stretch out on a sunbed without a care in the world then you may wish to consider Los Gigantes. Again, set on the West coast this resort is beneth a stunning landscape of giant cliffs, the views are wonder and the hotels here, while small in number are really great places to stay.
Hopefully that will give you an insight into some of the islands resorts and will help you decide how to make an informed decision on where to stay.

Tenerife is ok but I prefer gran canaria as it's less brash. The resort I went to in Tenerife was a bit too clubby but I guess that's down to personal preference. I'd have preferred somewhere a little quieter.
